I find the comments for this article very disturbing. Anyone who considered a child of 18 months stupid is a) a moron, b) a hypocrite, and c) a moron and a hypocrite. All of you were children at one point. You're no better than this young woman.
Marriage isn't a mistake, either. Anyone who says otherwise either wasn't strong enough to make it work, or has never experienced it.

Of course a child of 18 months can be stupid. Here's a good way to tell which ones are: The ones who fall into wells are stupid.
