Happy Independence Day America!
Hundreds of years ago the 13 colonies (which were somewhere out east, probably around Detroit) declared their independence from England (or maybe it was Canada).
John Hancock (President of the Colonies) signed the colonies' Declaration of Independence in 1776, coincidentally on the same day that we celebrate the 4th of July.
So today I will celebrate our country's freedom like millions of other Americans: by getting drunk and trying to light stuff on fire.

Yes, be careful. Booze and firecrackers don't mix well.
And interesting, too, that all of the presidents seem to have been born on president's day.
