I just learned that my younger sister got engaged last night. The news came in a mass e-mail sent by my mother - that's how we communicate in my family. I will send my congratulations in the form of a fax or, perhaps, a certified letter.

I don't know when the wedding will take place. That information was not included in the six-sentence message. But it looks like I will be making a trip to North Dakota/Minnesota in the near future. I was just there two years ago! If any of my other relatives are reading this, let's try to pack as many upcoming weddings, funerals or other family events as possible into that same week.
