If ever there was a cause

Tookie Williams has been executed. War protests are so yesterday. I would like to now call upon our nation's protesters to focus on a new cause. No, I am not asking them to find jobs or something to occupy their time other than standing around, holding signs. I am asking them to defend our Constitutional right to a decent lap-dance.

In Scottsdale, AZ, adult-film star Jenna Jameson is up against strict opposition from the city council that is trying to prevent her from running her newly-acquired strip club, Babes Cabaret.

One newly-proposed rule would require a 4-foot barrier between dancers and customers. This is in addition to a city law requiring that strippers wear pasties on their nipples. What's next? Book burning?

How is anyone supposed to get a good lap-dance from over a yard away? But never mind that. These regulations could put strip clubs and strippers out of business. Most of these girls are putting themselves through law or medical school, all while supporting expensive drug habits. What are they supposed to do?

We must stand up for our rights!

We must demand action!

Somebody call Cindy Sheehan.
